Need help with 45-degree roof section

I'm wondering if there is a better way to make the "45 Peak Section" where two Roofs meet at 90-degrees.

I can do it using two "flat" prims, path-cut between 0.5 adn 1.0, but I'm wondering if there is a better way using a cube, or some twisted something......

I'm still learning, but this is NOT-a-panic-situation, so don't rush to your local sandbox and risk injury :) or sliding up and down your RL roof taking measurements :)

Here's my setup:
- Making a roof section with a Cube 1mx1mx1m,
- Hollowed
- Path Cut 0 to .5
- Rotate X=0, Y=270, Z=45

Now, Shift Copy, and rotate the resulting duplicate 90-degrees in Z-axis
Reposition so you now have lowest edges of the two roof sections touching.

Now, nudge the edges together,

You are now missing the "PEAK" where the two sections intersect. So it's kinda a 45-degree cut.

IM me in world if this is toooooo cryptic :)

(1) Thanks to Deanna for stopping over and sharing her method for precision placement
(2) Thanks to Lyn for stating the obvious solution to my "word problem from hell" :D
(3) Here's some photos:

The Blue Section is what I'm curious about replacing with a single "1/2 cube-like prim cut at 45-degrees"

I've built a couple of these where the roof has windows. I took the roof part and the window with its structure to another spot and tilted the whole thing a number of times so adjusting movements were always on the x,y or z axis. Then link it all together, put it back, and register position with builder's buddy. Much easier that way.

I found a little trick a while back that might help you out.

Use the 'ramp' prim next to the cube to start with.

Hollow it out to 95.0

Path cut to... B: 0.250 E: 0.500

Taper to... X: 1.00 Y: -1.00

Top Shear to... X: -0.50 Y: 0.50

I think that should work for you.

Also, without tapering or shearing the Y, makes for amazing ramps. No more angles to work with.
