I've searched the forum and knowledge base for this but I can't find an answer. I have permission to edit a friend's objects. I can move her objects, link and unlink them, and edit the unlinked prims, but however I try, I cannot edit a linked prim. As soon as I click the box, the linked object is de-selected. When I try to select the prim, the box is unticked. Is this a bug, a "feature", or am I just missing something?

Just a shot in the dark, but maybe in Tools "Select only my prims" has an effect?

Make sure you don't have "Select only my objects" clicked in the Tools menu.

My partner and I have the same problem. Sometimes I can edit his objects, sometimes I can't. Also, if the owner locks the object, the other person cannot edit it.
