I was wondering.. Are you only limited to making things ingame as far as 3D goes.. Like.. If I want to make a 3D wing.. am I only able to use the Ingame tools or is it Possible to make it in something like 3D Studio Max.. and then importing it ingame?

Thanks.

In game only.

No plans to add import of 3D models anytime in the forseeable future. That's a 180 degree departure from the way the engine works at the moment.

That's actually more or less what I was getting at. The engine is optimized for a streaming environment, using simple shapes that even at their most tortured can be compressed to a tiny packet of data, as opposed to system-and-bandwidth-clogging meshes. This also allows the system to adapt to performance issues dynamicly without any work being done on the part of content creators to create different LoD models... As you zoom out, or decrease object quality settings, the system automaticly simply redraws the shapes more simplisticly.

Kismet,
If you want to find out how to use the Create features then you should check out the Ivory Tower. I believe it is located near the cordova sandbox. In there you willl find pretty much all the tutorials you'll need. They start at the beginning ( the simple controls) on the first floor then work up to the More advanced stuff On above floors. Each station in fact has it's own tutorial to help.

Hope this helps you out. :)
