hi everyone- purrhaps yall can help me- i CANNOT get the skirt i made with a skirt gen to link!! (looprez). It refuses to link- i've tried several things- removing the script from the looprez ball, removing the looprez ball altogether, flicking on and off 'select only my objects'
curiously i've seen ppl link it successfully. I've been creating in sl for almost 4 years- so this is really frustrating, heh. you can always IM in sl. but please reply here first. THANKS!

well there are only three things that could prevent it, either having too many prims (254 seems the limit), having some objects which are too far apart(varies with prim size), or trying to link in an object that isn't owned by you. Scripts shouldnt have any effect on this. Check on these 3 things and I think you'll find your solution

I think you also need mod permissions to all the bits contained or something like that, perhaps you added in one little bit that's not got the right priviledge set?

Thank you D.
I have come to the conclusion that there MUST be a bug. I gave a friend permission to mod my objects- and she can link it just fine- while MY Link option in tools is grayed out!!
every conceivable object is MINE and set to FULL perm....i can link about 5 objects and then the link option goes away and i cannot link 2 groups of 5 together. I've spend the last 2 hours trying top understand the prob- but for all my SL expirience- I can't figure it out.

I have had that problem on occasion, too. Seems that relogging, clearing cache, and just leaving it alone for a while solves the problem... definitely a bug .

Try linking the skirt in sections, then link the sections to each other...

This has happened before, intermittently, to other people. It's one reason why I added the AUTOLINK feature into LoopRez Deluxe ( http://slged.blogspot.com/2007/02/product-support-and-lsl-aaarrgghhhs.html). Try this: - BEFORE rezzing anything, type /1 AUTOLINK - touch the metal ball - the panels should then be rezzed, and slowly (1 per second), automatically link Good luck
