Screwy Permissions....

It's late here and so I'm finding it a challenge to be even semi-articulate....

I've been doing some building / scripting using an alt, which affords me a liitle privacy. After finishing a few things, I transfered them to my reg AV, making sure I set all permissions wide open.

When I went back and logged in my AV and accepting the inventory offers, I see the items are all no copy no mod!

What's that about?

Thanks in advance,

Nyles

There could be a number of reasons for this.

One obvious one as you mentioned you are using scripts, if any of these scripts do not have full permissions that could be one answer.

Another re the no mod, when your alt was building did you lock any prims in position so as to prevent them from being accidentally deleted, this is another answer.

The textures if using them, are they all full perms.

Are you using a rezzer system like rez faux, that could also be a reason.

You have to check and make sure everything from textures/scripts and prims are all full perms to transfer from alt to av or visa versa.

If you suspect there is a glitch in the system then first try transferring individual items in case you overlooked something.

Thanks Larrie,

I was under the impression that objects and scripts in the content folder of an object would inherit the permission of said object.....guess not...

How do you set the permission of a script? I did a search:

/invalid_link.html

Nothing in the above link speaks to the issue.....

Looking for some hidden tab in the script editing window....maybe I'm just to tired to see it....lol

Thanks,

Nyles

right-click the prim with the script, select "Open", there right-click the item you want to change, select "properties" and you will find the permissions
