SL Directory Project

The SL Directory Project is directory listing of various landmarks arranged by categories such as Shopping, Entertainment, Games, etc. The SL Directory will be maintained by the SL Directory editors (lifers who want to make locating landmarks easier in SL).

Our goal is the make the directory as useful as possible for SL residents. The idea is to make something similar to the event board but with a lists of approx 6 to 8 categories with a link to the notecards. Here are a few cats I thought of: Shops, Games, Entertainment, Residence, Misc. Each cat will contain a notecard with landmarks, a brief description, and snapshot of landmark.

SL Directory will be located near the Ritch Welcome area.

Anyone interested in helping with this project? No Funding is needed.

I know Shebang Sunshine has started categorizing landmarks. I hope she would be willing to contribute.

This already exists in Welsh.

I know there's already something similar to the SL Directory but I'm proposing we setup a directory in the Welcome area accessible to all.

If we had a directory in the Welcome area, then it might deter ppl from setting up their own bill boards advertising their property. Don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with it but imagine 10 or 15 ppl doing the same in the Ritch Welcome area.
