Hey y'all. I've got me a nice 1024 plot and I'm puttin up my skybox. I know that on the ground I can see my boundaries in yellow by clickin "about land". Is there a way to do this from 300m up in the air? If I cross my boundary line, will it tell me? Thanks in advance.

Not directly, no.

But you can place a particle'streamer "Beacon" at the corners of the lot, and see that beam for a certain distance.

Or the best method... Put a 10M tall prim post at each corner of the parcel, and sent the prims to the altitude you plan to biuld at. Then ride a prim to that altitude, and use the corner posts as your guide to the parcel edges.

Several ways... there are utilities that will rez borders or particles to show boundries, but the easiest way is to place prims on the ground at the borders, then move them up to the level you want to build at.

I reccomend you build it on the ground :) so you know your not going over the boundarys. when finished, link it up , then put posistion some in the air, large skyboxes though may not be able to link, in this case, the other replies cover it.

I bought some property markers from Inkwelle (there are others like this out there, look around). They have a number of features, but the one I use the most is that you can click on them and tell them to move to the edges of your property. When I'm building at 700m, I will rez 4 of them and send them to the corners of my property. Very easy. They also autodelete after something like 24 hours to keep your land tidy.

The easy, non-scripted way would be to make a note of where your property boundaries are, and then when at altitude, create markers and move them to the corners (making sure that they are completely inside your property).

I just always put .5x.5x10 square poles into the ground, and then copy them and send up sets every 30m or so (If I have the prims for it.) If I don't have enough prim space, and can only use one set, I just bring them with me, up, up and away.

well i used the property marker idea. i rez'd and copied four 10m poles. i painted em yellow and set them on the exact corners of my property. then i raised them to 300m. funny thing is, my property isnt 32x32 like i thought it should be. one side is longer than 32m...i dont know the exact measure but its about a half meter larger than the others (?) is it still a 1024 parcel?

Keep it simple. Build on ground, and then go up.
