its just an idea. i have no programming knowledge so i cant give you any ideas as how that could be possible, just felt it could be of some use to some of our many gifted programmers in world.

i am wondering if its possible to design an object in the 3d program of my choice, then bring it into a sculpting program designed to replicate the object, the object is placed inside of a scultpy sphere. then with the click of a button the sphere will adhere itself to the surfaces of the object, thus replicating the object ready for exporting?

3ds Max has something called a Conform object. It's a compound object that attempts to wrap one operand around another by moving all the vertices along adjacent surface normals or towards the object center until they hit the target object. It's very useful for sculpty work. I intend to outline the procedure in a tutorial if I ever get enough time to get back to it.
