Farewell, Tawhaki

Unfortunately MJ is having to tier down and is having to sell the land upon which we Think.

This is unlikely to be the end of the world, since I'm sure there are plenty of Thinkers who could use the dwell . I'd like to propose that for future meetings, Thinkers should use their own land if they have it, or if they don't, they can use my otherwise unused Scrabble's group land in Tupi (a PG sim, unfortunately) which has a stage and seating and is in a nice spacious spot.

If you're going to run meetings on your own land and want your own Soapbox, or want a landmark to the land in Tupi, drop me an IM in-world.

If anyone needs a place to host future Thinkers meetings, my place, "Ethnographia," is available on Kane. Close to the old Tawhaki place. Im me for a lm. I'll try to host something myself in the next few weeks...

I have a little bit of land left in my tier, and I do mean a little bit, but I could probably afford the prims for the amphitheatre if MJ is willing to give me the land (about 250m^2) that we currently use.

I'm happy for people to use their own land if everyone else is happy with that. I will amend my Thinkers meeting tonight, and make sure I have some cushions out! Please check the listing later today - I can't remember the location off the top of my head, it is 'teleport home' rather than anything else.

I don't have RL money to pay for extra tier but I certainly have enough SL L$ to buy the Tawhaki HQ, and I wouldn't mind to do so. Jinny, I understood this issue about MaryJane incorrectly - I believed that she already had a buyer, but after Eloise's post, I see that she's open to sell to us!

It's only 250 sq. m.?? Well, how much is she asking for it? Market value of that would be from L$ 1300 to 1500, something like that. I'll be more than glad to give that to her
After all, it's true she got some dwell out of that tiny bit of land, but she was also awfully nice to let us use it.

Since Eloise so kindly "donated" her own tier for supporting that piece of land, may I make a suggestion?

- I'll give Eloise the necessary amount that MaryJane asks for the piece of land
- Eloise buys it, donates tier to the group, and then 'deeds' the land to the group as well (alternative: I pay MaryJane directly, Eloise donates tier to the group, and MaryJane deeds the land to the group)

This would mean 3 things:
- the HQ would be "Thinkers' property" (at least, as long as enough people donate a small part of their tier to the Thinkers' group), so, there would be no fear of "losing" the HQ from now on...
- all officers would be able to return objects and eject griefers from the land. Not a small advantage, with what we have been experiencing lately...
- while I think this would be not much, all Thinkers (members and officers) would now receive a slice from dwell points generated Well, nobody will get rich from that, our group is too large...

What do you think about this arrangement?

In the mean time, yes, rotating meetings is perfectly all right
