Persistence of objects

Hello,

I need to make some objects that keep their UUID for a long time. Can SL, in case of maintenance, or server reboots, keep your objects on your land with their content and their original UUID?
Or the UUID will be lost after some kind of crash?
Do I have to prepare my scripts to such a case?

Thank you

According to lslwiki object's key changes when they are rezzed. But nothing says (and I never heard) about object's keys changing when sim crash or restarts.

Generally they don't change UUIDs in those cases. But I personally still don't like to count on unchanging UUIDs. It's so easy for an accidental delete or return to completely mess up your system. I recommend at least planning for the eventuality of a changing key, and having a plan in place for fixing your system in-place with an updated key (e.g. store that one small piece of data on an external server; a static file on a freely hosted website, or the one at http://w-hat.com/httpdb, might be ideal for this very limited function).
