Is there a way to allow only renters to have access to apartment doors? I want to set up my rental system where once the rental box is paid, the renter has control of the doors but loses control when the rental period expires. This would be for a rental with front and back doors.

This would be for a rental with front and back doors. Basically you just want an automatically updated door lock. Without knowing what rental syustem you have its hard to be specific but basically in the money event of the rental box you need to store the key of the renter. Then when the door is touched it should match the toucher against this ID and take appropriate action. Removing the key when the rental has expired would be on the same timer as the rental box. However all door lock are pretty useless unless tied into some other form of security system. |

sorry about that, i have the HippoTech Rental System ver. 3...the setup is fairly simple and straightforward but no reference to setting renter keys or doors, unless i missed it
