Am I right in understanding that owners of No Mod objects cannot reset the scripts in them?
This last update broke rotation scripts using llTargetOmega. I had made and sold numerous birds and sharks that use the rotation script, which are now rotating at breakneck speed.
The Linden's fixed the scripting problem, technically, but any birds or sharks that were in world are still rotating at the same excessive speed. They have to be selected and reset before they will return to a normal rotation speed.
I sold some of the birds and sharks as no Mod. It appears that the owners of no mod objects apparnatly cannot reset those scripts. I am getting numerous IM's per day from customers wanting to know how to fix them. I tried to help one customer reset the scripts, even taking and reseting the shark in world and she could not reset it. She gave me modify rights and I could not reset it either.
It appears that the only option I have is to replace the products that the Lindens broke.

I'm afraid that I have to say that I think you are out of luck. I can't think of anything that would help you apart from offering replacements.

Absolutely correct. This "feature" came out quite some time ago (somewhere around 1.2 I think). I (among others) complained bitterly and LL happily ignored it. I think it's ridiculous that they've locked things down in such a way that a no-mod item can be rendered useless just because a script has crashed or gone haywire. Same old story. They jump to block something off without giving us any other option. You can build some sort of reset script using llResetOtherScript , but then of course llResetOtherScript to doesn't work on a script that's crashed. I've never understood it, but for some reason there's a mentality around that once you start a script it's just gonna run indefinately, and the real situation is that any one of these buggy updates they keep releasing can kill a perfectly good running script for no apparent reason.
I don't think you have any option but to replace it, and if it's no transfer you're not going to be able to get the broken one back either.

Thank you for the responses. I don't mind replacing them, it costs me nothing and it generates customer good will. But I can imagine getting calls for replacements for months or longer LOL. What a pain. Oh well, I learned of a new pitfall in SL.
Also I noticed that the rotation script I have been using is the one from the Linden Library in our inventory.
