Hi,

This is my first SL post and I'm very, very, new to all this.

I've found a freebie script which enables an object to follow me but I can't get the object to move along the ground like a real object would. I found another freebie script which adds real world physics to the object but if I add this with the follow me script the object kind of bounces around all over the place when following me!

What I'm trying to achieve is get an object to move along the ground a bit like the avatar moves along the ground (i.e. upright and doesn't wobble and bounce all over the place).

Hope this makes sense:-)

Many thanks in advance,
P.

You might want to check the script or any notecards it came with for any settings you might need to set. From what I've noticed in making pets, if it needs to be physical (which it typically will), then you will want to make it phantom. Otherwise it won't quite move like expected and will also get stuck now and then.

Thanks for the tip.

I since found a script which seems to do the job with a bit of tweeking, however, we can't get a multiple prim object to follow. One prim on its own will work, but no the whole creation (if you see what I mean).

Someone said the primary prim needs to have the script and the others will follow, but we tried and tried in a sanbox with an Octopus (!) we made put the whole creature just would not follow? Any ideas?

All best,
P.

if you need help with it, feel free to IM me in game. I have a multiple prim pet that follows me around perfectly. I scripted it myself so I should be able to tweak any piece of your pet that you'll need so it'll work better.

can't make physical anything over 31 prims, so make sure you are doing something less than that for prim use. (most follow scripts use physics)
