Is there a way to obtain the Name and Description information of a piece of land? Ie, some kind of programmatic way to request a Landmark?

Jess Oddly enough, no. You can get the key of the land owner, but that's about it.

I mean you can get the sim name using llGetRegionName() and the sim corner using llGetRegionCorner(). These combined with llGetPos() will let you create something like a landmark. But there's no way to get the name and description of a piece of land.
