Is there a way to make an object or particles only visible to one person?

well particles will be invisible to anyone with them turned down to zero, but I don't think that's what you are looking for. similarly prims and particles in a hud are only seen by the viewer with the hud. you can make prims invisble from certain angles, but not others (full alpha on specific sides) but past that... no
