Newbie scripter here.

Where can I get a REAL list of side #s for use with the llSetTexture command? And dont' direct me to LL's library, that horrible list covers only boxes and it doesn't even do those in a manner that is understandable...worst documentation I ever saw O.o

Better yet, just tell me the numbers for inner faces of cylinders and spheres, and the cut face of a sphere :p

Better yet, direct you to the wiki and the relevant page for sides.

Or not. I already said, that list is horrible even for the one prim it does cover, and it doesn't even pretend to cover the others.

It'd be nice if they'd actually put some effort into clarity, or at least providing a decryption key so one can understand what they mean by the various terms they're naming faces with. But they haven't.

And trial and error doesn't want to work. I've used 0-9 now, and I can't get more than two of the faces to flip, and they're not the ones I need.

i'm not quite sure this is exactly what your asking
but what i do if i want to figure out what face is what number
i do something like

CODE

for ( x = 0 ; x < 9 ; x++ )
llSetTexture ( (string)x, x );

and have the prim with 9 textures named, 0 , 1, 2 ,etc...

if that's what your asking about
