This is a rather basic question but one Ive not been able to understand. I have made simple scripts and when clicking on objects to run an event, a circle of white stars appears around the object. That is on scripts I have made. But on most objects when you click on them to run a script there is not ring of white stars. How can I not get them to appear?

I think it just happens when you activate something within a script... I'm not sure how to stop it.. but it can be annoying =/

My mystitool sometimes decides to do it when someone comes into chat range, and that gets annoying in crowds.

The effect occurs when the script is talking to you with llOwnerSay, and, only you can see them.

It actually happens if it speaks in any form which you can hear. llSay, llWhisper, llShout, etc. Whomever can hear it, will also see the effect, so they have an idea where the text came from. Sadly, there's no way to disable it, other than to have your item not speak. :)

True, if you're willing to deal with that nasty 2 second delay ;)

This is a feature and works as intended.

Everyone sees it for their own objects when they talk.

You can multi-thread it.
