Alright, so I scavenged for a number of freebie shoes to save me the moolah, however more then three quarters of them come with that accursed bling script shoved into the clasps of 'em. I deleted every single scripts I could find, I separated the prims, checked them individually, reattached all the parts, but it's.. it's still there! everywhere! How do I get -rid- of it? Is there a kill-script for this?

Particles go into the prim properties, so you can't delete the script to turn them off, you need to turn them off via script. Either use the script for the shoes (there might be a notecard or something like /help if you can't edit the script directly), or put in another particle script that turns them off.

Yep.

CODE

default
{
state_entry()
{
llParticleSystem ([]);
}
}

Here's one that will delete itself after you drop it in and it turns off particles.

CODE

default
{
state_entry()
{
llParticleSystem([]);
llRemoveInventory(llGetScriptName());
}
}

All the freebie bling shoes come from a factory in the fourth circle of hell! 42% have stopped bling scripts in them so bling off doesn't work, 73.8% got made with no modify so you can't put bling killer scripts in, 16% have fat plastic thread inside that makes little red lines over your toes and you will have to soak your feet, and an astonishing 97% are the wrong color! And if you find some with bling off that works you gotta do that first and then take the scripts out and then you find out there is still a script in there because it's no modify! And then when you are all done you can get fed up and delete the shoes.

^^ Its why most off us end up reaching for the plastic. There is a lot of very good freebie stuff out there, but you do have to shift mountains to find it unless you're lucky enough to latch onto someone whose already done it =)

Anyone care to publish a shoe construction script (create a prim, put the script in, take a copy and put it in the first)? I'd do it, but I don't have the time to make the shoes and collect the prim parameters just now. Heh heh.
