http://secondlife.com/badgeo/wakka.php?wakka=llParcelMediaCommandList

can someone help me with a script to play my lands video media. it doesn't have to be anything special, just touch on, touch off. hell i'll even take a "yes copy/no mod/no trans" script if people are too stingy to provide something open source.

thank you in advance.

Hey Athena, I'm going to try to help here. I'm gonna quote the wikki first.

* Own land.
* Apply a texture to an object from your inventory that will eventually be replaced with the media stream.
* From "About Land/Options", use the GUI to select the texture above.
* Enter the URL of your media stream
* Use the little "Movie Control" box to play the media stream.

So, to rephrase...

You must own the land.
Create a prim to play the movie on and texture one face with a (preferrably unique) texture.
Go into the land options (right click your land, or whatever), add the media URL and select the texture.
If you check the "scale" checkbox, the stream will resize to fit the prim.
Once that's done, you should have the movie controller when anywhere on your land.
Hit play and the stream should appear on the prim.

As far as i know, you don't even have to script the prim. You can stop/start it with the movie control box. As is, the stream will play once and stop until you start it again with the box (might need to check me on this...at work and can't peek).

If you want something more advanced, like a player with start/stop/play/loop/etc., then you need to script.

Hope this helps. Holler at me later tonight if you want one to simply loop it or touch on/off.
