Ok …. Either I’m having a senior moment :o or just plain can’t see it, so can someone please guide me in the right direction. Within the current version of the MLP which script(s) do I need to modify to change the text in the pie menu? I would think that it’s the script within the poseball , and looked up and down it all last night … with no luck. :(

thanks ppl ....

If you're referring to the round "pie" menu text, you won't find that in MLP. MLP gives you a blue menu. I suggest you spend some time studying the example set that comes with the latest MLP. and carefully read the information with it. You may then be better able to ask a specific question. There is a MLP thread in the forums here you should check and also a users group that can be quite helpful. there definitely is a learning curve so plan on spending some time with it. good luck.

You may find more fruitful discussion if you search for MLPV2. For one thing, this forum doesn't let you search on 3-letter terms, darnit! For another, MLPV2 is a later edition with more features, which may be of interest to you.

I don't remember what original MLP does with the pie menu, but I beleve that the script in ~ball (which is also called ~ball) sets the pie menu's sit text to "LOVE".

With MLPV2, it's configurable by changing the ball's description, and the most common use these days is to use "none". This also sets the poseball's floating text, and "none" means "no floating text, and the default for the Sit slice on the pie menu.

Just out of curiosity Dick, where would you *like* to set the sit text? I haven't yet decided where to do that in nPose, another open source posing system I'm working on.

Hey Nandana ... well I would like it to be able to control it from a script within the pose ball or maybe even better a notecard. one thing i do hate and comment out or just delete the script all together is that floating text. :) but if that were set in a notecard also so you can set it to none that would be great also .... :D

btw ... i will have to grab your scripts and give it a test ... :D ,, sounds interesting!!!

Older versions of MLP allowed you to change the pie-menu text within the show() and hide() functions in the "~ball" script. You need to rez the ball first, open the script, amend it as you please and take it back into inventory where you can drop it into the MLP device.

That said, MLPv2 is more functional and fun, as Lear has already pointed out, and of course you can change the pie menu text much more easily by replacing 'none' in the description box with whatever text you wish.
