I'm sure there are probably dozens of posts on this but I can't find them through search, or the info doesn't seem to fit what I'm looking for.

I want to create two things. One is a beachball that will bob in the water.

Secondly, and more important, I want a rotation script that will make a life preserver and/or a floating chair to move around when in the water.

Can someone direct me where these are, please?

Thank yoou

Your second wish is actually the easier one, at least in its simplest form. All you need to do is link your floating chair to an invisible prim at some moderate distance and than drop a script with llTargetOmega in it to set the linkset rotating around its center. It won't be a totally random wander, but if you set the rate low enough, people will never notice that it's floating in a circle. Take a look at .

For the other challenge, you can use the same trick to make the beach ball float around, but you'll need to apply small random vertical forces to make it bob up and down. Take a look at the recent thread , where there were some interesting suggestions to this same question.

Thank you, Rolig. I'll give them a try.

A tip for when using llTargetOmega: set the build mode in the Edit window to be Local instead of Global so you can see the axis you want to rotate around..
