Hi,
i can get the prim to move up and down, but how do i make it so that i will move up and down by standing on top of it??

You need to get the AV to do a sit, you can change the title of "Sit" displayed in the menu. Check out the wiki

thanks but, i want it to make it so that if i have a prim or a vehicle or a av, i want it to move up/down along with the elevator, is that possible?

You have two choices: Non physical: You need to sit on the prim. Any prims attached or worn by you will move with you, any other prims or objects need to be linked to the moving prim.
