Notecard Key changes

Does anyone know why they changed it so that even reading/opening a notecard will change it's key? In my scripts that use notecards for their settings, they will start reading the notecard just because I'm looking at it. Of course I'm using changed to update the script when the card changes. While working on a script last night with opening a notecard, doing a small edit, then closing the notecard it read the card three times. I can see this being an annoyance more than a problem.

I dont think the actual keys are changing but an inventory changed message is being generated as you change selections.

The notecard key changes when you save and edit. I tried to make centeralized configurations based on notecards in inventory - ended up being a no-go because the key changes whenever the notecard gets saved.

Too bad.
