I've seen many people inworld with items that when they sit on them or say something, trigger an animation or ask for permission to animate the avatar (e.g. chairs that animate the avatar into different poses). I was wondering if this script has been added to the library (and I haven't seen it) or if anyone can post it here. I just would love for my avatar to be able to lie down in bed and not be in that stiff, looking-at-the-ceiling-can't-move-my-neck pose.

All you need is llSitTarget() for positioning...

and llStartAnimation() /llStopAnimation() for the anim.

I have a script or three around, but you can grab the anim thing from the standard popgun script with the permissions...

I'll have a script for you in a minute or two... my SL just crashed when I pressed tab. :\

Thank you both for the replies. I logged in earlier and Francis Chung gave me a script that works perfectly.Now I can actually sit on my bed using custom animations. Ph34r h3r l33t scr1pt1ng sk1lls!

I submitted the script to the Script Library. I made it fancy, so I'm submitting it there. If anyone needs it in the mean time, you can IM in SL. Mine is different from Francis's probably. I made it so by clicking on the object you can scroll through multiple animations.
