Odd behaviour in chat when outputting URLs

Hi,

I'm building a gadget which communicates with a server outside SL and returns a list of URLs along with some information lines in general chat.

I have the communications with the server working ok, but the returned lines are showing an odd formatting glitch where parts of the info lines appear to be clickable (see attached image) neither these lines nor the actual URLs do anything when clicked, but the cursor changes to suggest they will.

I am not doing anything on the server side apart from echoing the info lines and URLs, I'm relying on SL to turn the URLs into clickable links.

I'm not convinced this is a scripting error/glitch (I'm using the LL preview build), but I thought I'd ask here in case anyone else has noticed this.

Just to answer my own question. It seems that SL (or this version at least) doesn't like to start a new line with an http://...

Once I put some text in the line before the link it worked fine.

I know URLs are clickable in IMs... Never tried them on open chat since the MystiTool offers a popup when it catches a URL anywhere in open chat.
