Probably everyone knew this but me, but. to my surprise, I today discovered that you can use carriage return rather than \n to start in new line in llSetText. llSetText("this is one line and this is another", < 1.0,1.0,1.0 > , 1.0); does almost the same as llSetText("this is one line \nand this is another", < 1.0,1.0,1.0 > , 1.0); The only difference is that the text is left-justified when you use the carriage return. When did this start? The person who told me swears she's been using it for over a year. Any other interesting new developments I should know about?

I don't know when it started, but it's listed in the wiki as an alternative.

I *think* I remember this from at least two years ago; LSL has always allowed embedded characters of all sorts, including CR/lF. It's noted under the information for the string data type and I believe it was in the very ropey documentation that downloaded with the viewer all that time ago. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/String
