Hello everyone here is a updated mirror of the lsl wiki for local usage (i have it on my sony PSP now heh) mirror sites, or the off chance the wiki goes offline again (props to CatherineOmega, AFAIK its only happened once)

stats:
1,986 files, 12.6mb

all files now carry a *.htm extention...
and all local links use *.htm for easy upload and use tru a webserver

links that were not downloaded are not removed (like in the june copy) they are now linked to lslwiki.com

the new scripts i am using now allow me to make incermental updates, those updates will be availible tru this thread, and not hammer the wiki site for all its worth downloading redundant info :)

i think thats about it ... any questions or comments please stick em in this thread

enjoy

Double WOW Osgeld!!!!!!!!!

It works great. I will tie Scite-EZ to it. I am sure it will come in more handy for times that we loose internet connection then for the Wiki going down. Now we can script to our hearts content without either SL OR the internet if necessary!!!!

WOOT!!!!!!

One full bag of your choice of cookies for Osgeld!!!!

I was right in my previous statement. Lost internet connection for 4 hours this afternoon. All it did was slow me down for five minutes while I changed the lsl preferences file to look in the right place!!!!!!!!!!

ive seen some errors in it ... mainly with unix machines

ie on some pages a link may say User.htm and on other pages that link may be user.htm

well there is no user.htm so theres an insta 404

good thing is they are not on the mainpages, just funky crosslinks that ppl have put up in the wiki text

bad thing is im not 100% shure how to fix it atm, in my june copy i used commercial software (which downloaded half of gamespy too, i swear) but it lowercased all the links, this time around its ALOT more focused and fixed nearly every problem in the june copy... but it keeps the urls as entered (which causes this problem)

getting closer :)

wiki mirror update april 7 2007

images have been downloaded, that and a increase of content pushed the zip file up to 5.7mb but thers now a tarball for download (3.2mb)

on *nix systems theres still an issue with broken links mostly due to upper/lower case typo's, currently im running a link checker and will update my website and the archives manually once i get the results

till then its the same story

once i get the broken link report ill repost under this thread letting anyone who might be interested know that ive fixed them

IF you get a 404 on my website try lowercasing the url most of the time thats all thats wrong

thanks

/me sends a bucket of ice cream to go with Jesse's Cookies.

Thanks you Osgeld, I have no doubts it will be as useful as the previous versions.
I have had a copy of your mirror on my laptop since you first uploaded the link and find it so much more useable and readable than the new offical wikki.
