I read in an old thread thread that there is no limit to the size of an object's inventory. I wanted to make sure that this is still the case and what troubles I'll run into if I grow an inventory large (thousands of items).

ive not seen one yet, i use object inventorys for dummy loads (get inventory keys to simulate users interacting with the object) ive gotten a TON in there, but its slow as crap if you have to look at the objects inventory .. sometimes 5 + min
altho it doesnt seem to effect script performance (probally becuase you usually look @ one object @ a time) |

As mentioned, yes it is slow as hell when you have a tonne of stuff in there.
Second the asset server has been known to eat the occasional object - make sure what you have in there is copy - else when the asset server eats your prim all inside will go as well. _____________________
