I am looking for help with Saving to Notecard
Examples.

When a item is touched it saves their name to a notecard

Please help me

This is not possible.

This capability is not going to be added at any time in the future.

I would recommend using internal memory and email instead of notecards.

Can't be done. Best thing you can do is have it say something into chat which you cut and paste into the notecard manually.

Sorry, at this stage you cannot save to notecard, but you can save to variables in a script, write to other linked scripts, the prim's title and the prim's description. XML (now) and http (1.10, hopefully today) solutions are also possible.

You can write to chat window and then invite user to select and ctl C the text to a notecard.

I'm probably not the first person to think of this, but I think I just came across a "poor man's database".

Link together 5 objects and put a script into each object with a link_message function.

When it receives a specific call, it can rename the object with the data it wants to store.

To retreve it, get the name of the obeject and parse the results.

Anybody know character limit on an object? (i'd log in to check, but the 1.10 upgrade is in progress)
