(I originally posted this in Resident Answers, it was suggested I repost here)

So, I'm a newbie at SL, and I have a question.

I've been toying around with some of the vehicles available in SL, and I have to say it's been quite the learning curve. I've been searching the forums here for alternate methods of controlling vehicles, and I've come across some fragmented references to mouse/mouselook steering, but I haven't been able to track down a thread that actually says "here's a car that steers using the mouse and works 100% perfectly".

So far I've been driving vehicles around with my old MS Sidewinder gamepad, using Joy2Key to map the D-pad and buttons to keyboard controls. It's worked OK, better than using the keys themselves, but it's still not that accurate.

So, are there alternatives to the normal arrow key/WASD steering method for ground-based vehicles?

Thanks!

Yes, actually.
