Hello!
I have no idea how to script! :D
BUT.
I wanted to know if there was a way to have a texture on a prim move where the avatars eyes point, without having to be an attachment. This would be a big help in my avatars. Thank you!

moving the eyes is an animation, animations are client side, the server can only know where the center of the body is (not including being moved by animations)

I've seen a script that changes prim hands to the position the avatars hands are in, pointing, fist, etc. Isn't that similar?

i think that's backwards of what you want to acheive. using the debug menu, you can show the crosshairs of where an avatar is pointing and looking, i think i read somewhere about them working on a script function to detect those: as in, who's it is, where it's at etc. but i doubt it will ever get done because that seems like it would be against tos. i guess it could be given permission, like the permission to track the camera's position

Ah, that is a good idea. So a texture can be moved to follow the camera? How could I go about this? :)

your only choices are attachments, or permission track camera, which will be a bear to make work... since tou have to track the camera position, make it relative to the av, and then hope the head/neck hasn't moved too much to make it all look nice.
