I'm curious if there are any unofficial developer forums for those involved in second life related software development. Sort of like an sluniverse.com for developers. A lot of my interests lately fall outside the scope of LSL and that seems to be the primary focus of this official forum. If so, would any of you have any popular suggestions?

I am sure there are many others and I hope Ordinal does not mind me posting this here...but this is by far the best unofficial scripting forum, IMO.

Thanks for that Alishe, I'll check it out. If anyone else has suggestions but doesn't want to post them publicly, you could always PM me.

I'm primarily interested in the Open source community, libsecondlife, and 3rd party viewer development. I see the open source portal on the second life wiki has some good information, and libsecondlife.org is a great resource, as well as many of the mailing lists I managed to find. I'm just curious where all the people doing things like that convene as I don't really see topics like that pop up on this forum.

Devs as a whole HATE forums, every time the idea has been broached it has been shouted down.

Join the mailing list at:

https://lists.secondlife.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/sldev

and everybody, including a lot of the LL staff use iirc. Try:

#libomv

#libsl-dev
&
#opensl
