Is it possible to sense particles?

I was wondering if it is possible to sense actual particles with a sensor rather than sensing the particle emitter.

Particles are a client-side special effect. So... nope.

Right. They're not actually objects or parts of objects - they're just a visual effect - so there's nothing for llSensor(Repeat) to sense...

I don't THINK it is possible to tell from script whether a particular prim (or even the prim the script is in) is a particle source either.

Yep - you'd need a custom viewer that does sideband chatting to a script. Or something.

Can't do it with straight LSL..
