If the car requires physics enabled (Which most of them do IIRC), then you'll need to shave off a few prims. I think the car can only have 31 (Plus a driver).

To test to make sure the scripts work, just make an object that's wheels and a seat. Then you'll know if it's the prims or the scripts themselves.

Yes, it has too many prims. The maximum number of prims in a physical object (including vehicles) is 31 INCLUDING all avatars sitting on it. If that is fixed and it still doesn't work, you might try turning the object physical yourself. Some vehicle scripts assume the object is already physical.

WOW....i wish somebody would have told me "before i deleted the car it took me to 6 hours to build" that all i needed to do was turn the wheels material to glass

Oh my. That's very odd. A glass car, hmm? I've never had issues with the object material interfering with vehicle functions. Maybe those scripts use normal physical movement rather than vehicle functions.

Very sorry you lost your build. I'd advise always keeping a copy in your inventory (you might check your trash now). I usually even take a copy before I put any scripts in it and label it somehow as being pristene. You can't be too paranoid about losing those things. :(

Quick, Kidsin--did you empty your trash? If not, it may still be there, and you can click on it and "restore item".

And yes, make a copy for EVERY major change you do. Ask me why I know this...

Hmm, I have used the realistic script on several cars and never had a problem. It sets physics to true when you sit so thats not it. The tires never really touch the ground so setting to glass wont make any diffrence. you dont have anything set to flexie do you, that will make physics fail silently?
Made sure the root prim was set to 0,0,0?

unfortunatly..i emptied my trash.....i figured there was something wrong with the way i built the car....then i made a little test car..it didnt work either...till i watched a video on car building in SL...i turned the wheels on the car to glass like the guy said in the video...and the test car worked....to bad for the 6 hour build though..oh well live and learn
