Does anyone have a free voting script handy? I want to put together a voting kiosk for a build contest, but if there's a good script out there already I'd rather not reinvent that wheel.
Cool features to have: - IM vote to contest organizer - Prevent avs from voting multiple times - Allow ranked voting of top 3 choices
While I'm thinking here... I guess it would be nifty to have a voting machine in-world that kept track of vote tallies and calculated the winner (IRV is my algorithm of choice but weighted multi-voting would work too). Has anyone built such a thing, or do I have yet another project for the back burner now?

From: Eggy Lippmann There's a free voting thingy made by LL... isnt it at the telehubs? Is that just the green Vote box on a pedestal? I'd also like to have an event-oriented voting script that would automate the voting process. With it, you would: 1. First be prompted to enter the voting options (or perhaps this could be managed via notecard). 2. Enable the vote proctor to officially begin and end the voting period. 3. At close, it would tabulate votes for each option (with percentages would be nice) and display in chat for all to see. If there is, in fact, something like this already out there, I would like one, too!

I was working on a voting machine. That allowed unlimited voting choices, kept track of who voted, and scaned the local area for all avatars in range. So people could only vote for the avatar that were there. It also included and exclude list for voting and or blocking avatar names from showing up on the voting list. I never thought about adding multipel choices, but that wouldn't be too hard to add.
