Hi. I'm wondering how reliable the timer events are. Say I wanted to wait for one week, counting down the days. Could I just set a timer even to go off every 24 hours and count based on that? (I don't mind if it doesn't count real-time when the server is down). Is that reliable enough, or should I count myself - say by having timer events every 6 hours and checking a time function or something. Thanks, -Cenji

I recommend the latter method, checking every so often using a stable time base, like llGetTimestamp, rather then setting the timer event for the duration you want to wait. Timers are subject to the effects of time dialation in the simulator, so I dont recommend that you use them for things that need to trigger very accurately.
