Does anyone have a teleporter that works when an avie walks on it?

Such a teleporter is impossible to do. the best approximation you can get is setting the left-click options on your teleporter to be sit instead of touch and usilize the well known warppos and sittarget teleporter techniques.

Well Senuka, that is not fully accurate.
Depending on the push restrictions in the sim, you could do this with a modified orbitter script. There have been a few posts were people describe areas of their land that if you walk on to it, it 'boosts' you to another point within a few meters. It would be really hard to code and as described above, would not be wholly accurate. You could further implement accuracy by doing a modified cage or invisble lift that surrounds the avatar and then pushes itself to the desired destination before poofing. All of these methods can be screwed up with lag, and as I said, would require a lot of mass calculations, so it probably wouldn't be worth it. It could never done approximated to the speed of warpPos elevators, so I would still prefer to just use a Sit on Touch lift with a menu that does a warpPos jump to the location. |
