Just a quick heads up for any that dont know this yet.

The Advanced/animate textures in the the latest RC is defaulted to off, instead of on as in all the other recent viewers. This gave me quite a scare when I logged into my shop today and found all my products that had moving texture stripts seeming to be broken. I spent a a bit of time rezing, restetting scripts etc before asking a friend, who found the solution.

I can imagine many folks will be pulling htier hair out..er off trying to figure out why this isnt working now and even spending time trying to fix what isnt broken, like i did.

So if your using the new RC, you need to go to Advanced menu and select Animate textures or all those nice flowing and rotating effects will not show.

I'm not seeing this, maybe this is some kind of setting that is being toggled for specific hardware?

Could it be different updating vs. installing fresh? I know the RC in Linux crashes every single time on fontconfig stuff for a fresh install and there's nothing I can do to get it up except start the release version (1.19) a couple of times before going back to the RC. So there's something messed up there.

hmm maybe i just put my fat fingers on the wrong keys, but i swear it was on in the old RC and that i didnt do anything other than log in :)

Actually unless there is a stealth hotkey for it, it wasn't my going, no hotkey listed beside that toggle.

I just installed the RC last night and my "Animate Textures" option is checked on by default.
