Sad problems with Timeless Linked Door Script

Thought, after 5 or 6 hours (yes), that I had set up things perfectly at last, with the Timeless Linked Door Script. Used it for a door, and for 4 windows. Everything worked like a charm.

Then came the moment that I had to link door and windows into the greater whole of the house I'm building. Now, suddenly, both door and windows disappeared after having been clicked on, only to show up in weird locations and weirdly rotated.

Although I'm greatly looking forward to another 5 hours of repetitive work, I'd like to ask you knowledgeable people what the cause of this problem could be and, more importantly, how it can be remedied. Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Xylo

I think the positions of the door are relative to the root prim of the object they are linked to.

When you positioned the door etc, presumedly you have the door linked to a doorframe, so the position would be relative to that.

When you linked the doorframe and door to the house the root prim would have changed. If you only have on door you could make sure the doorframe is the last selected prim to force the frame to be the root prim and all will be fine - but of course that won't help with multiple doors, etc.

I'm afraid you should have linked everything before setting the door positions and will have to do that again (delete the description and names from the door prims to reset everything).

Thank you, Samm. Methinks you are right.
