How does one, as a scripter, specify multiple sit targets on a single prim? I've seen many long prims.. railings, benches, couches, etc.. that support multiple sitters.. without poseballs. But I have a lot of trouble replicating this in a repeatable fashion. Every time I create a "long prim" sometimes you can sit on it, and sometimes there's "no room".. it seems to be fairly random...

How can it be accomplished intentionally and reliably?

The seat area needs to be made of several prims. Instead of one long prim use two or three shorter ones.

You can also use multiple, invisible, flat, prims that sit inside or on top of the bench as invisible poseballs. Just link to set.

THANK YOU LOGAN.. for actually reading my post.

I'm something of a factory in terms of manufacturing "low prim" furnishings.. I can pump out 3-5 prim couches and coffee tables and whatnot for hours on end.. but the "need" for poseballs has just been irritating as all getout. Multiple invisible prims totally defeats the entire purpose of the question.

Wonder if we could also get it to assign a different pose/animation to each sitter?

Yes, you should be able to assign different sit poses for each person too. You'll have to work out some way of keeping track, but because the sit target gets changed each time, the same mechanism to change the sit anim it will play when someone sits should work.

You may, however, end up with a script per person to keep permissions.
