Why does it take forever sometimes to login.... Been trying for an hour now and it appears frozen and stays like that? Why does it do that?

Yeah, that isn't really a scripting question, however, to answer your question, when YOU log onto SL, you're not the only one logging on. Back in the "old days" (i.e. last September, when I joined SL), there was typically 4000-9000 people logged on at any given moment. Since then, there has been a huge explosion of new residents, and, although Linden Lab has tried to keep up with the demand, it's difficult to do. Therefore, since now, there's never less than 20,000 (ish) or so logged on, at any given moment, hundreds of people are logging on or off. This has a tendancy to slow down the log in process, most likely since all logging (on or off), is done from one central server. So, just like a busy website... things are a bit slow (at times).
