I figure this has to be really simple, but I haven't been able to do it ...... How do you get rid of a blue Dialog box when the operation you created it for has timed out and the user hasn't clicked a button yet?

You don't. The user has to click a button.

Because of this, for infrequently-used dialogs (like setting anim positions) I usually set a timer and give the user a prompt to let them know the dialog timed out. Could be annoying though for a frequent dialog, like a dance ball.

Bummer. I was afraid of that. Why would LL overlook an obvious functionality like that? (Dumb question.)

This script is going to be used by newbies, and I just know they're going to start the Dialog and decide not to go through with it. I suppose all I can do is send an IM that says "Hey, dummy! Click the "ignore" button."

Thanks. :(

In the message in the dialog box itself you can say "This will time out in 60 seconds - if you get no response - click again to get a fresh menu." That's the best I've found.

Yeah, that's a kinder, gentler way to say "Hey, dummy!" ;) I'll do it. Thanks.
