I am looking for some form of a script. At this point in my SL endeavors my only chance of updating my land and area and ideas, is to search for scripts as I am still wallowing in object creation. *sighs*
I intend on messing with some scripting in the very near future, but until that date and time I still want to get a few things done.
Does anyone know of a script, or capable of writing one that would place Lindens in an object for savings? Perhaps where multiple avatars of YOUR choice could donate to? In other words I want to start a savings amongst my group and friends, to save for future land purchase, etc.
Thanks in advance, need any more info yell at me in SL or on this forum. I'm not looking for an easy out or someone to do the dirty work, I just want to get a few things up before I get to the real hard tutorial work.
Thanks, thanks, thanks in advance!

Only avatars can possess L$, you can't store them in objects.

And I wont charge you much interest..... Slightly more seriously , if you really cant control your spending try the approach suggested hereNever seen the point myself, I hardly ever buy anything apart from occassional gifts for ppl. I was recently given a very large sum by a friend who left SL. It was all still there when she came back.

I think i remember seeing someone was working on a kinda tip jar/piggy bank where money could be left for members of a group. Not sure where it was and I did a quick check here and didnt find it.

Well as far as setting up a tip jar or something like that for others to pay into, you can setup a script that will keep track of how much has been donated/deposited. All the money will go into your AV's $L amount though, so you'd have to be very careful not to spend it.

a modification of the "Personal Alt Bank" could work here. roll up an alt whose specific purpose is to function as the funds holder. On a side note, it might be interesting to set up a function where every day when you log in, the script automatically debits a few lindens from your account, and transfers it automatically to the alt bank. sort of like a "change jar". I'm not sure if a "group" can possess a balance of it's own. anyone know about that? it really sounds like what he's looking for. Thought I know the "Personal Alt Bank" seemed nearly exactly like what the OP was describing needing. /15/78/123171/1.html

Groups, essentially, can't have an account.
In fact they can have a small amount of money in their balance, but as soon as balance > number of members it's split evenly amongst the members of the group.

One could create an alt to act as group bank.. but this person who creates the alt must be very trusted. It could be given a password or something that's agreed upon by group leaders, and kept public between the group leaders, but then every person who has access to this alt must also be very trusted.
It would allow for group funds, but it could be a very tricky operation, and might pull some good friends apart if mis-used.
