This is a quickie. Since I contribute frequently to the Scripting Library, I would like it very much if we could have the following:
1) Post the Timetable Staffers commonly update the Library
I would like it very much if we were told when our new posts/replies will likely be added to our threads in the Library. That way, certain issues like long delays between an answer written in a reply could be mitigated by knowing roughly when it'll show up.
2) Make the forum Reply-by-Thread-Creator only
This is for several reasons. First, it allows Staffers to filter out obvious "bumps" by the thread creator. Second, it puts up a barrier against people replying there with questions, which is tedious and, quite frankly, annoying. This is the reason why I generally post a "pointer" thread in Scripting Tips to answer any questions in a far more timely manner. Finally, because creators may indeed need more than one post buffer for our work on lengthy scripts, "Post Only" would be too draconian.
3) Automatically Create a "Pointer" thread in Scripting Tips
I call it "pointer" both because it points to and from the script in question, but also because it's there for the creator to "offer pointers" on how to use the script, answer questions, etc. I already do this now, and it seems to work much better than answering questions in the Library directly. However, I'm not too clear on the limitations of vBulletin, so naturally if this would need to be done manually, we as residents should do it.
Thanks in advance.

I'll ask the forum moderator to post the timetable in a sticky at the top of the forum.
Before making the forum post only though (which in effect is what you're asking for), I'd like to get some feedback from others using it. Can you please discuss your ideas for this with others, maybe in Scripting Tips.
Do you want a pointer for each thread discussion that has a related script in the library? I haven't seen an automatic way to do that (when I point here it's all about setting up links or copying threads). So while you discuss #2 with other scripters, I'll see what v-Bulletin allows with pointers.

What do you folks think?
