How can I get my Avatar to stick to the floor and rotate with the platform?

Use llSitTarget() and have your avatar sit on it.

I'd like to, but it's a house that I want to slowly spin, so I need to be able to walk around in it. Would this be possible? Thanks for any help...I'm just getting into scripting...

The only method I know of is to use a scanner and lot's of small Push's
Unfortantly Push is not only affected by distance, but what walk state the avitar is in.

All it takes is a small bump in the floor to remove the floor friction and they will hit the next wall.

Have a invisible prim in volumedetect just above the floor and reaching up to the avatar's knees. When you want the house to turn, turn the prim physical and turn off volume detect add buoyancy 1.0, and rotate it along with the house, so dragging the avatar along while it tries to escape. Once your rotation is done, turn volume detect on and turn off physical and restore buoyancy. This will only work for small rotations, not continuous rotation.

If you stand an avatar on a surface then start moving that surface slowly enough you can usually get the av to move with the surface. But it's not reliable, and any kind of movement will make weird stuff happen, and while I was able to make it work with rotation it worked by making the avatar walk in ever-expanding circles for about a minute... then it seemed to lose contact and stop moving.
