Tip Jar

Hi All,

Firstly let me say that I did a search and drew a blank, yes, really!...Lol!

I would like to find a script that will allow members of my group to be able to have a tip jar on my land that will pay them directly...The land is not deeded, its in my name only.

I propose to build and rez the jars myself.

Yah, the search here is a little difficult given it rejects "tip" and "jar". "Donation" worked a bit better.

Oops, missed that bit. You can script for a jar you own to give money to another, but it is probably best that the payee own the jar.

The best reason I can think of is that it makes it clear who the funds are being paid to (i.e. "Pay to Joe Avatar" instead of "Pay to Cain". on the dialog).

You can find tip jar scripts about everywhere in freebies stores. For your specific question you will need to place some code in the touch() event that will check the group with llDetectedGroup(0) to let the dancer be tipped for this jar.

It doesn't matter if it is group land or not, except if you have auto-returns, it only matters that the tipjar is set to the correct group.
