Hi all  ) I often visit slexchange and look for things that can help me with builds and for my own private use as well... Lately I've been hunting down a smoke generator... I have a fire and light gadget, and a water gadget. These are things that generate the script for the NON-scripter..or scriptor...you know what I mean...LOL! Now I'm looking for something to generate smoke for a chimney, and particle leaves to fall from trees...etc. Does anyone here know of a person who sells things like this for reasonable prices? The ones that I'm coming across are way out of my league at the moment. I've bought so many gadgets to help me, that I'm afraid any sales that I may recieve lindens for is just now making up for all that I have already spent...LOL! Hey I'm not complaining...only asking. If they ARE in fact very expensive, then I'll just have to tighten my belt and buy them ) Thanks ahead of time for replies ) |

I have something called a "smokeball" in the freebie dispenser in my shop, if you like. I use it for chimneys. It generates... rather a lot of smoke at the moment, it's appropriate for a factory chimney, but you can open it up and change the parameters on the particle script. I can't remember the exact ones to change, I've not got the script to hand at the moment, but I or someone else can tell you how to make it less obtrusive if you ask in this forum.... im me in sl, i have a freebrie script i found, that lets you choose many features of the particlles, clors size densisty and makess it very easy to understand/change. if im on ill give it to you, not sure if itll help but its free |

I'm a scripter that specializes in particle effects. You may have to provide your own textures because I don't have any art skill but I enjoy it to the point of forgetting to charge people for it >.< that's okay though, I'm payed for other things =3 Throw me an IM whenever, leave a message being as spicific as you can on what you want, nab a teleport to my vender out of my picks (yay shameless advertising!)
*ahem* In any event, I can usually throw together effects like that in under 15 minutes or so.

I sent you a folder of particles that I've done. For particles, the best thing to do is play around with the parameters. I do have a cheap (<$500) gadget to create particles in development, but who knows when that will be released  In my sig is a pretty good script for creating particles. May your particles always be aesthetically pleasing. |
