I was wondering if there's any way to make floating texts disappear afther a distance.
Let's say I've put a floating text on an object and when i'm on a distance of let's say 2m the text ain't visable anymore. I think the default distance on SL must be somwhere arround 10m and sometimes it penetrates the walls (verry anoyoing for your neighbours)???

The only option is to have a sensor that shows the floating text only when someone is within 2 meters, and hides it when there's nobody that close. There's no way to set the SL floating text fade settings.

I was having a problem with a neighbour and his floating text hovering through walls on my property... I submitted a JIRA and it was closed with the message that this was well known problem but low priority to fix....

Since then neighbour moved and I bought up their land... but is an annoying bug.

Sounds like a nice neighbor.

The only real solution is to move the walls farther back from the border. If you really don't want to give the neighbor the extra space this way, just put up a wall on the border itself.
