Is there a way to limit the Prims an avatar is allowed to use in a designated space?

i.e.: Renting out a space in a building and allowing the renter to rezz a certain number of PRIMS within that space.

Hi.

No there is no way, you would have to keep track that they dont use more prims as you would allow them to use.

They can use as manny prims as the land has.

One thing you an do is sub divide the lot, so that the lot has only X prims, and limit them that way.

only works if ownership changes however. If its still owned by the original owner, the plotwill have the same amount

Here's one way to do it:

1. Create a new Group and invite your tenant as a regular Member (not as an Owner or Officer of the group).

2. Set the Group designation of the parcel to the name of the new Group.

3. Deed the parcel to the Group, after checking Owner Makes Contribution with Deed.

Your tenant will then have access only to as many prims as the parcel supports. As Owner of the Group that owns the parcel, you can do any maintenance required.

The biggest limitation is that you can only belong to 25 groups at once. You could get around this by creating the parcel group with an ALT of yours, and then use it to invite your main account avatar into the group as a second Owner. After you deed the land to the group and donate enough tier to support it, your main avie can leave the group to your ALT to maintain. Your tier donation will remain with the group even after you leave it.
