A script is pasted into a note card?

It "becomes" a script when attached to an object?

No, create a script in an object, open the script in the in-world editor, then delete what's there and paste in the script from your outside editor.

Ah!! That makes sense. I found a car I could copy. I also found a car script, and just put it in the car and the car was drivable. I didn't get the part of how to create my own script.

Thanks for clearing that up.

ConductorX, I don't know whether you've run across it yet, but LSL Editor is a great tool for offline scripting http://www.lsleditor.org/

I read through and searched put I can't seem to find it.

How do I write a script off line and then upload it into SL?

Does it have to be a specific file type or format?

Will a straight plain text file work?

Thanks in advance,
"G"

If you plan on scripting...you must get lsleditor. Otherwise, simply copy paste.
